We make passive investments in companies which exhibit strong growth opportunities, value creation and which have outstanding management and market momentum. We focus on investments primarily on the West Coast of the US from Silicon Valley to Seattle.
Our family office was started by Keith Barnes. Mr. Barnes was the former Chairman & CEO of Verigy Pte. Ltd. Verigy was domiciled in Singapore and had its US headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Mr. Barnes retired as Chairman after Verigy was acquired in July 2011 by Advantest Corporation of Japan. Verigy was originally the Semiconductor Test System Group of Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies. Verigy was started under the leadership of David Packard.
Prior to running Verigy, Mr. Barnes was Chairman and CEO of two NASDAQ registered technology companies, one located in Silicon Valley and one in Oregon. Mr. Barnes has been on the boards of 9 public companies, four higher education boards, and multiple private company boards.
Mr. Barnes currently serves on the boards of Knowles Electronics (NYSE: KN); Rogers Corporation (NYSE:ROG); Viavi Solutions (NASDAQ:VIAV); Classic Wines Auction Emeritus Board.
